Can someone please tell me why The University of Southern California (USC) is ranked at all in the latest BCS polls? Seems like every college football season, all we hear about is the same damn teams over and over again. No matter how well or how bad Florida, Texas, Alabama, USC, and LSU play, they always seem to get praise in the end.

Everyone knew USC, coming into this season, wouldn’t be the same USC from last year. How could they be? They lost over 10 people to the NFL draft, which included their starting quarterback and most of their defense.

Granted, USC seemed unchanged from the previous year, starting off with a great game one, but that run would be cut short with a loss to unranked Washington. You would figure a large drop in ranking with a loss to an unranked team, but no. USC still remained close to the top, just outside the reach of a BCS title game. Now with a loss to 10th ranked Oregon, my question is: "WHY IS USC EVEN IN THE TOP 20?" Don't tell me that strength of schedule and points on the board have anything to do with this. First off, if points on the board mean anything, why is Florida ranked #1? The past 3 or 4 games have been some nail biters. Second, let's talk about their schedule shall we?

San Jose State - UNRANKED 1-6 this season

No. 16 Ohio State - Lost to an UNRANKED Purdue

Washington - UNRANKED - THEY LOST

Washington State - UNRANKED - 1-7 this season

No. 24 California - only other loss was also to Oregon and they have a similar schedule

No.25 Notre Dame - Bottom of the Barrel

Oregon State -UNRANKED- Nail Biter almost lost this game also

No.8 Oregon - LOSE - This was the game that mattered, but sorry, no win

All I have to say to the BCS and the rest of the media is:

"GET OFF EVERYONE'S JOCK ALREADY."

Give the little guy a chance.

Seem Like Vick's Agent Had The Wrong Information.

Just a day ago Michael Vick's agent had declared that Michael Vick had signed a contract with Nike.

There is just one problem with that statement. Nike claims that Michael Vick does not have a "contractual relationship."

It seem that it was all a misunderstanding. It is true that Nike has supplied Vick with apparel. Yet, Nike claims that they have the same terms with many other unsigned athletes.

( So he's really just a client of Nike )

So what happens now?

Well, Vick's manager gets to place his head between his legs for the next couple weeks, while he prays that Nike might just change their minds.

BACKGROUND STORY:

Michael Vick was a superstar athlete. He was a dominating force on the football field, both back at Virgina Tech and in the NFL.

Yet, just like most young athletes who leave college early for the big time, Mike Vick found himself way into major trouble.

There where many allegations that Michael Vick had possibly run a dog fighting ring. (This would later be proven true and would then lead Vick to his incarceration)

With all the bad media and publicity towards Vick, sponsors would soon drop him from all his endorsements.

(His endorsement contracts included companies like Nike, EA Sports, Coca-Cola, Powerade, Kraft, Rawlings, Hasbro and AirTran.)

After Finishing his 2 years in prison and proving that he had changed, Commissioner Roger Goodell would give Michael his second chance.

Conclusion:

Seems that Nike is also giving Vick a second chance. Signing him to a 2 year contract probably for a large amount of money. ( That's comparing to my salary.)

I don't believe what he did was right and I probably never will. I will always consider pro-athletes to be the dumbest people on the planet when it comes to controlling their own lives.

I will, though, give him credit for making the necessary changes in his life and trying (the key word is trying) to become a better person. Good Luck.

Check out 2 articles on the topic here:

ESPN: Michael Vick signs with Nike.

Frankly, after their sloppy performance last week and the fact that their team lost a major chunk of last year's team, I knew this wasn't the same Trojan team.

More disasters ahead for this 2009 Trojan team.

That ball was inside the other batter's box. Thank god that kid wasn't a righty, otherwise he would have been knocked right out.
Either that game was fixed or that umpire need some Lasic.

So the final verdict, 2 years for being an idiot.

Former Giants reciever Plaxico Burress plea bargains his way out of his own stupidity. For those who have no clue what's going on, Plaxico was arrested a while back for forgetting what a safety was. Thus, leading to him shooting himself in his own leg, at a night club. I guess the " gun in the pants line" won't work anymore for this guy.

The big question : What's of Plaxico's career after his 2 years served?

Burress, by the time he actually gets into the cell and finish his two years, will be around 35 years old. Will that be too late in his career? Unfortunately he's not as lucky as the other idiot, Michael Vick, who starts off his new chapter at only 29. Needless to say he probably will get a second chance because good old Roger is a softy and will see the light in Plaxico's eye and most likely Tony Dungy will be all over that shit too. I just don't get how people, in the position they're in, fuck up as bad as they do. You're a pro football player. Stop trying to be a gangster. Grow up. Take the ghetto out of you. Do not go to cheap ass clubs looking for hoochies. Don't buy a gun if you have no clue how to use it. As a matter of fact don't buy a gun at all. Just hire one of your crackhead friend to carry one for you. Lastly don't be a cheap ass and get caught drunk driving. Pay the damn 15 dollars and get into one of those yellow things we call taxis. Might save you some cash in the long run.

Why can't people realize that their time has just run out?

It seems like, for the past few years, all that plagues my ESPN is talks about which team Brett Favre will migrate to. The truth is, Brett Favre should be picking out burial plots, rather than playing football. You're just too damn old, my friend, and you're not getting any better or healthier. Stop running around telling people it's all about the game when it isn't. If it were about the game, and not the stupid money dumb teams will pay you, then you would have quit after your long run on the Packers. That's right, a remarkable end to a remarkable career and with the pride that comes with playing for a team and a town for such a long period of time.

But no, you needed to continue and try to show us that you still have fight left in you. So you proceed to make yourself look like a miracle worker and head over to a team that probably will not see the light of the Super Bowl for quite some time. ( That's right JETS fans, your team flat out sucks. ) All you did, Brett, was make yourself look like a loser. You showed the Jets some inkling of hope, for the first 2 months, and then proceeded to show us exactly what we expected good "OLD" Brett to do. ( LOSE. ) Not to mention sustain one of the worst injuries you could possibly receive as a quarterback.

Now you sign with the Minnesota Vikings? The same team that has been rivals with your past team? The team that you played for, for over 15 years? The team that basically cherished you as a god of all football? The team that you set all those records with? Can we then clearly add the word "Traitor" in on your behalf? I'm going to be blunt Brett, like I always have been: You're fucking up.

Let me give you some things to remember this coming season:

You're almost 40, which in this sport is about the same age as the pyramids.

Your arm is soggy like overcooked noodles. ( You have a torn rotator cuff - Which you might think is healthy, but give it a couple months of throwing footballs and taking hits and I bet your outlook will become quite different.)

You're a traitor to the team that once cherished you. Regardless of if it's about the game or not.

You might be comfortable with the offense, but can you work well with the team?

Quit lying to yourself. You look foolish. It's not about the game. It's not about your drive. It's about the damn money. Stupid teams pay stupid money for people that cannot help them.

The Minnesota Vikings definitely aren't a team one player shy of the Super Bowl.

That purple uniform makes you look like a hillbilly, redneck Barney.

So, this morning, I was introduced to this awesome magazine called Hip Hop Weekly. You may have noticed it on newsstands - or, seeing as how they've completely lifted their cover template from People, you may have even picked it up by accident.

Anyway, this is one page of a spread from a recent issue covering the Espy Awards. Let me know if you notice anything... interesting. And, no, it's not that Demi Moore was apparently the only non-African American to attend this awards show.

Did you get it?

No?

I'll give you a hint: Nipple.

Anything?
