I am a Jamaican-American Licensed Clinical Therapist, postpartum doula, and trauma-informed mental health expert with over a decade of experience in mental health, social work, and holistic care. As a skilled trauma specialist, I am experienced in various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and culturally sensitive care, allowing me to address trauma from a deeply integrative perspective. I am also trained in traditional Moroccan postpartum care, which adds a unique, culturally enriched layer to my approach, especially in supporting mothers through significant life transitions.

My work is rooted in a thorough understanding of generational trauma, particularly in maternal mental health within the Black community. My commitment to trauma-informed practices led me to create NurtuRise Global, a consulting brand offering specialized training programs in trauma-informed care for maternal health professionals. Through my work, I empower other wellness and mental health practitioners to recognize, respect, and address trauma in their clients, focusing on healing through a culturally attuned, holistic lens.

Additionally, I’d love to discuss topics related to trauma-informed maternal care, generational trauma, and culturally responsive mental health practices.
